Better outside

Rethinking outside spaces in fresh and surprising ways, we bring an innovative and sculptural approach to landscape design.

It’s a combination of our expert eye, design sense and understanding of how people and space fit together. Cameron Landscapes has developed projects that span a diverse range of residential, rural, community and commercial spaces and gardens across Auckland.
Working boldly with size, texture, composition and colour, we’ll help you create a space that just feels good to be in.
It’s time to make the most of your outdoors.

Philosophy

Sasha Reid believes good sculpture draws you in. It makes you want to walk around it, see it from another angle, notice something different a year later than you did on the first day. Cameron Landscapes designs outdoor spaces the same way — gardens that keep revealing themselves and grow more interesting year after year.
Influenced by the timeless style of Luis Barragan, Carlo Scarpa and Isamu Noguchi, Cameron Landscapes produce work that is both physically and stylistically enduring. A preference for essential design aspects — ergonomic and aesthetic proportions — over an adherence to passing trends results in contemporary landscaped spaces that not only look and age gracefully but also leave a sense of integration, resolution and calm elegance.

Meet the team

Cameron Landscapes is an independent Auckland business owned by Sasha Reid and Gabrielle Pritchard. Working with talented and experienced gardeners, growers, builders and suppliers, Sasha and Gabrielle guarantee a personalised process with an expert team that handles everything from dream to reality.

Sasha Reid — Design Director / Owner

An award-winning sculptor, designer and artist who has exhibited around the globe, Sasha Reid's focus is how objects fit together to create a space that is greater than the sum of its parts. Sasha brings decades of sculptural practice to every Cameron Landscapes project, from intimate pieces made for private homes to large-scale outdoor memorials and public exhibitions, working with a deep respect for materials and the environment. That same instinct — understanding how objects and space sit together — now shapes the way Cameron Landscapes designs gardens.

Gabrielle Pritchard — Co-owner

Gabrielle runs the business side of Cameron Landscapes: finance, operations, client relationships. She's built marketing strategy for brands across New Zealand, Australia and the UK, and spent years designing customer experiences long before she started designing gardens. She's also a trained celebrant, and has married couples everywhere from the top of the Sky Tower to a club basement on K Road. Designing the right experience around people turns out to be the same job, whether it's a wedding or a garden.

Nigel Cameron — Designer

Nigel continues his design work with the team, ensuring the enduring ethos of Cameron Landscapes remains at the heart of every project. Nigel previously led the team to win five Ellerslie Flower Show awards (four Gold and one Silver). He appears frequently in publications such as NZ Gardener, Trends and Urbis, and has featured on television shows including My House My Castle, Maggie's Garden Show, Holmes and TV ONE News. His work has been published in two of UK garden photographer Steven Wooster's books, and most recently in Contemporary Gardens of New Zealand by Carol Bucknell and Sally Tagg. Nigel is also a regular and enthusiastic tutor of Landscape Construction at UNITEC in Auckland.
